Connected 2024: Wrapped

It’s that time (EOY) again. Connected Wrapped is ready. Are you?


The year moves fast. Luckily, we took notes.


Connected ran over 300 campaigns this year. Our biggest quarter was Q2, closely followed by Q4. June was the month of EOFY madness. November saw the heat of the most competitive Black Friday sale period we’ve seen – challenge accepted.


Speaking of competition, May was the month we introduced Uno to our office lunch breaks. We’ve played 176 games so far, putting us in the top 0.5% of games played in offices globally. (Well, we like to think).


While it’s not a competition, here’s the leaderboard of our top highlights from 2024:


  1. Welcoming Our Newest Clients: Built on Referrals, Powered by Results


This year, we’ve had the privilege of welcoming some incredible new clients to the Connected family, including Plungie, Housing Hub, Aon Growth Priorities, Aon New Zealand, Flip, and Pool Shop. The best part? Every single one of these partnerships came through referrals—a huge testament to the relationships we build and the results we deliver.


At Connected, we don’t just treat our clients like clients; they are true business partners. We care as much about their results as they do and we obsess over their numbers. This is why our partners keep recommending us.


We can’t wait to keep smashing goals for both our new and long-time partners in 2025— watch this space, big things are coming! 🚀


  1. Stronger Partnerships, Bigger Wins


This year, we’ve gone all in for our clients, strengthening relationships and delivering big results with our nimble, hands-on approach. We’ve expanded our service offering to meet their needs, doubled down on driving their performance, and tackled their challenges as if they were our own.


In a tough economic year, we punched above our weight, leaving nothing on the table. From diversifying channel strategies to challenging platforms and processes, we have delivered outcomes that speak for themselves: one client smashed a November sales target by over $1M, and another is scaling their marketing budgets nearly 3x in 2025 based on their 2024 advertising results.


Plus, the feedback from our yearly client surveys is clear—they’re raving fans. 7 clients gave us a perfect score across an 80 point scale!

  1. Our Fast Track to Giving Back: What’s Your Kilimanjaro?


Every year we push ourselves to our limits to raise funds for an incredible cause that it close to our hearts. Forever Projects is a locally run charity that we have supported since 2020 by running their marketing activity pro bono and participating in their yearly “What’s Your Kilimanjaro?” Challenge.  


WYK? involves challenging yourself to ease the challenge of others, and we did so by running a 62km relay together. We raised thousands of dollars which directly contributes to empowering women in Tanzania to break the cycle of poverty by starting businesses, gaining financial independence, and providing for their families. 


We also wanted to take this opportunity to again thank all of our sponsors and supporters, including Beaches in Thirroul for donating us some well-deserved post-run beers.

  1. This Year, We Opened the Doors for Interns—and the Future Looks Bright


2024 was a big year of growth for us, and one of the highlights was launching our very first 8-week internship program. We welcomed two talented university students who dove headfirst into the fast-paced world of agency life. From brainstorming ideas to learning the ropes of campaign optimisation, they got a mix of hands-on training and formal learning sessions tailored to give them real-world skills. Watching them soak up knowledge (and occasionally coffee) as they tackled challenges and tasks was nothing short of inspiring.


Having Claudia and Paddy on board was not only a rewarding experience for the students but also for our team. Seeing their curiosity and growth over the program wasn’t just exciting—it reminded us why investing in the next generation of talent matters.

  1. SEO, But Make It Human

In 2024, we flipped the script on traditional SEO and officially launched a separate SEO division in our agency! Our powerhouse SEO team boasts over a decade of experience at leading brands like Qantas, Westpac, NRMA and BT Super.


Our approach is all about creating a seamless, human-first experience that ranks well and resonates even better.


Already, we’ve delivered game-changing results for seven of our clients.


By using deep SEO research to guide our decisions, we’ve unlocked insights that not only elevate search performance but also supercharge our paid strategies, organic social, and SEM efforts.


Seeing the bigger picture has been key, and the wins we’ve achieved for our clients have us buzzing for what’s to come in 2025 in the space.

  1. Award Season Highlights


What a year it’s been! In 2024, we racked up an impressive 10 award nominations, becoming finalists or winners for nine of them.  


We hit the road to Melbourne to celebrate these milestones with some of our amazing clients, sharing the buzz and excitement of awards season at these unforgettable events.


  1. Waves, Work, and Winning: Our new Thirroul HQ Office Is Ready


As some of our partners have probably heard us excitingly harp on about, we’re adding the finishing touches on our brand-new office build! This fresh, vibrant space is designed to fuel creativity and collaboration as we charge into 2025.


Just minutes from Thirroul Beach, it’s not only a great spot for our team but the perfect place to welcome our clients for brainstorming sessions and big-picture planning. Many members of our team had a hand in bringing this vision to life—assisting in selecting furniture and finishes to adding those final touches that make it uniquely ours.


One of our favourite features? The coveted “MVP parking spot,” reserved for our peer-voted quarterly MVP. Taylor and Chloe have snagged the honours as our first MVPs to park there in the new year!
